Marinco P503-30 EEL Shore Power Pigtail Adapter

The Marinco P503-30 EEL Pigtail Adapter connects a 30A 125V boat inlet to a 50A 125V dockside connection.

The dockside side here is 50A at 125V single voltage, not the 125/250V version used by the P504-30. Those two differ only in the dock voltage configuration. Three Marinco pigtails put a 30A boat inlet onto a larger dock supply, and which one is right depends on whether that pedestal is 125V or 125/250V. The connectors are not interchangeable.

Adapting upward like this is the useful direction, since the dock has more capacity than the boat needs and the 30 amp circuit runs at its full rating. It does not increase what the boat can draw. Onboard wiring and breakers still limit the vessel to its own 30 amp design.

The boat-side female connector uses a locking design with the sealing collar system, and the male locking plug takes the pedestal or cordset.
