Marinco P504-30 EEL Shore Power Pigtail Adapter

The Marinco P504-30 EEL Pigtail Adapter connects a 30A 125V boat inlet to a 50A 125/250V dockside receptacle.

This is the useful direction. The dock has more capacity than the boat needs, so the 30 amp circuit runs at its full rating without being throttled by the supply. It does not increase what the boat can draw. The onboard circuit is still limited by its own wiring and breakers however large the pedestal service is.

Boats with a single 30 amp inlet regularly arrive at docks with 50 amp pedestals, particularly in larger marinas, which is exactly what this covers. It runs opposite to the P30-504, which puts a 50A boat inlet onto a 30A dock supply. The names are similar and the functions are reversed.

The female locking connector attaches to the boat inlet or cordset with the sealing collar system, and the male locking plug takes the pedestal. It is rated for wet locations with sealing hardware fitted, and the short pigtail keeps the adaptation compact. Explore more shore power adapters.
