Description

The Ka-Bar USA Fighting Knife has a 7-inch black epoxy powder coated 1095 carbon steel clip point blade with a blood groove at 12 inches overall, a black Kraton G handle, a coated carbon steel guard and butt, and a glass filled nylon belt sheath.

This is the synthetic-handled version of the pattern. Where the classic model uses stacked leather, the Kraton G grip and glass filled nylon sheath here are chosen to survive water, grit and solvents that leather does not enjoy. Kraton G stays tacky when wet rather than turning slick, and it will not shrink or loosen on the tang the way leather washers eventually can.

1095 takes a very keen edge and comes back on a stone quickly, and the epoxy powder coat protects a steel that would otherwise rust. The coated steel guard and butt let the knife take hammering and prying that scales alone would not. Explore more Utility and Work Knives.
