The Ka-Bar US Army Fighting Knife has a 7-inch black coated 1095 Cro-Van clip point blade at 11.875 inches overall, a brown stacked leather handle and a leather sheath.

Stacked leather is exactly what it sounds like: washers of leather threaded onto the tang and compressed, then shaped. It gives a handle that warms in the hand, grips when damp, and wears in over decades rather than cracking. It is also the reason this pattern looks the way it does. The construction dates to the 1940s and has stayed on Ka-Bar's military knives since.
