The Ka-Bar Short has a 5.25-inch matte 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel clip point blade with a combo edge at 9.375 inches overall, a black Kraton G handle and a leather sheath.
This is the combo edge version of the Short, where the plain edge model runs an unbroken blade. Serrations nearest the handle saw through rope and webbing, and the plain section toward the tip keeps the controlled cutting. Shortening the standard fighting knife to 5.25 inches makes it easier to control for camp and utility work while keeping the same handle and construction.
