The Ka-Bar Tanto has an 8-inch matte 1095 Cro-Van tanto blade with a combo edge at 12.813 inches overall, a black Kraton G handle and a sheath.

At 8 inches this is the longest blade Ka-Bar puts on the fighting knife frame, and the tanto geometry is what makes that length practical. A reinforced front corner takes load a fine clip point would not at this size. The combo edge puts serrations nearest the handle where the hand pushes hardest, and keeps the plain section forward for controlled cutting.

1095 Cro-Van is Ka-Bar's carbon steel with chromium and vanadium added, tougher than plain 1095 and holding an edge better. Kraton G is a soft synthetic rubber that grips when wet rather than turning slick. Explore more Utility and Work Knives.
