The Ka-Bar Becker Campanion has a 5-inch black powder coated 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel drop point blade with a full tang at 10.75 inches overall, a black Grivory handle, a lanyard hole and a black GRN belt sheath.
Ethan Becker designed this line and the Campanion is the general camp knife of it, sized to split kindling, prepare food and handle the rest of a campsite without needing a second blade. The handle is unusually thick front to back, which spreads load across the palm during chopping instead of concentrating it in the fingers.
Grivory is a glass-reinforced nylon, stiff and light, and it will not swell or crack the way wood does in wet conditions. 1095 Cro-Van is Ka-Bar's carbon steel with chromium and vanadium added, tougher than plain 1095 and holding an edge better. Explore more Camp and Field Knives.
