The Joker Nessmuk has a 4.5-inch satin 14C28N Sandvik stainless blade with a full tang at 9 inches overall, a curly birch handle, a lanyard hole and a brown leather belt sheath.
The Nessmuk pattern comes from George Washington Sears, who wrote under that name in the 1880s and argued for a light woodcraft kit. His knife had a wide upswept belly and a dropped point, and this blade follows it. That belly is what makes it a skinner as much as a camp knife, keeping more edge against hide through each stroke than a straight blade manages.
Curly birch has a rippled figure running across the grain, caused by irregular growth, so each handle shows a different pattern of light and shadow. 14C28N resists corrosion and sharpens back easily, which suits a knife used on wet game and touched up in the field.
