Description

The Grohmann Survival has a 5.5-inch stainless Nessmuk blade with a full tang, a rosewood handle and a leather sheath. Made in Canada.

The Nessmuk pattern comes from George Washington Sears, who wrote under that name in the 1880s and argued for a light woodcraft kit. His skinner had a wide upswept belly and a dropped point, and this blade follows it. At 5.5 inches Grohmann has scaled the pattern up from a skinner into a camp knife, giving enough blade for splitting kindling and heavier chores while keeping the curved belly that makes hide work easy.

Grohmann has worked in Pictou, Nova Scotia since 1957, and rosewood is dense and oily enough to resist moisture from wet game without a finish. Explore more Survival and Bushcraft.
