The Jabsco Par-Max HD6 is a heavy-duty freshwater pressure pump for boats with a 24-volt electrical system. It delivers 6 GPM at 40 PSI, switching on when a tap opens and off when the system reaches pressure. The Par-Max HD line is Jabsco's heavy-duty freshwater series, sized for boats that run several faucets and a shower from the same system.
It is a good fit on larger boats and commercial vessels where several faucets, a shower, and a washdown may run at once. Confirm your boat is 24V before ordering, since the 12V version is a separate model. If the pump cycles often with no taps open, check the plumbing for small leaks before adjusting the pressure switch.
Install a strainer on the inlet to protect the pump from tank debris, and mount it below the tank where possible to help priming. Protect the pump from freezing during winter storage. More freshwater pumps are in our bilge and water pumps.
