Jabsco Par-Max HD5 12V 5-GPM 60-PSI Water Pump

The Jabsco Par-Max HD5 12V Water Pump (part P501J-118S-3A) moves about 5 gallons per minute and shuts off at 60 psi. It is a strong choice for liveaboards and cruising boats with two heads and a galley. The combination of high flow and high pressure gives a shower that feels close to home.

Its brushed, permanent magnet motor sits in a totally enclosed housing for protection from moisture. The pump self-primes from at least 7 feet when dry, which allows mounting well above the tank. It handles water temperatures from 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and carries an IPX6 rating.

The integrated bypass module helps prevent the pump from cycling rapidly at low flow. Check that the plumbing and water heater are rated for 60 psi before installing. Use an inlet strainer and keep it clean. The 40 psi HD5 and other freshwater pumps are in our fresh water and washdown pumps.
