Description
The Schrade Imperial 15T has amber celluloid, the material that let American pocketknives look expensive without being expensive. Stainless clip and spey blades sit in it, with nickel silver bolsters and an inlay shield, closing to 3.5 inches.
Celluloid was the first commercial plastic, used from the late 1800s to imitate tortoiseshell, pearl and amber at a fraction of what the real materials cost. The trapper pairing puts a clip blade for general cutting alongside a spey blade whose flat edge and blunt tip handle scraping without a point to puncture.
Imperial built its name on affordable working knives out of Providence, Rhode Island, and Schrade still uses the name on traditional patterns. At 3.5 inches closed this is the medium trapper size, small enough to carry every day. Explore more Trapper Knives.
