GROCO BP-2 1.9-Inch x 7.2-Inch Poly Strainer Basket

If a GROCO ARG-750 or SA-750 raw-water strainer has a worn or damaged basket, BP-2 is the poly replacement specified for that housing size. It measures approximately 1.9 inches by 7.2 inches, a combination that should be matched to the removed part. This service basket captures debris before it passes farther into the vessel's water system.

The BP-2 uses polyethylene construction and a lift handle that makes the basket easier to withdraw during inspection. GROCO's replacement chart assigns BP-2 to the ARG-750 and SA-750; choosing by the strainer's model number is more dependable than assuming every 3/4-inch strainer uses the same insert. Customers who prefer a stainless basket for these housings can compare the separate BS-2 part.

Close or otherwise isolate the water intake before releasing the strainer cover for maintenance. Remove debris from the housing and check that BP-2 sits in the basket chamber without interference. A correctly matched replacement lets the cover close normally and allows future cleaning without disturbing the connected plumbing. Browse more marine plumbing fittings and strainer parts at CritPro.
