GROCO BS-2 1.9-Inch x 7.2-Inch Stainless Strainer Basket

GROCO BS-2 is the stainless replacement basket for ARG-750 and SA-750 strainers, made for owners who need to restore a worn or damaged removable screen. The basket is approximately 1.9 inches across by 7.2 inches long. Its dimensions and housing compatibility are specific; it is not the replacement for the larger ARG-1000 strainer.

The BS-2 is formed from 304 stainless steel and includes a handle for removing the insert during cleaning. It catches debris inside the strainer so the housing can be serviced without replacing the complete assembly. GROCO also lists a polyethylene BP-2 for the same ARG-750 and SA-750 housings, providing a separate material option rather than a different physical size.

Check the housing model and basket dimensions if the existing part is badly corroded or missing its label. Isolate the intake before opening the strainer, then remove accumulated residue from the basket chamber. Seat the stainless replacement without forcing it so the cover closes properly and the assembly can be inspected after restart. Browse more marine plumbing fittings and strainer parts at CritPro.
