GROCO BS-4 2.6-Inch x 7.5-Inch Stainless Strainer Basket

The GROCO BS-4 replacement strainer basket restores the removable filtering element inside a compatible marine strainer. It is a sensible service part when the original basket is damaged, heavily worn, or no longer cleans up well enough for dependable reuse. The basket is made from 304 stainless steel, giving it the corrosion resistance needed for repeated wet service and cleaning. GROCO lists the BS-4 for ARG-1210 and SA-1000 strainer applications, so matching the existing strainer model before ordering is important.

Keeping a clean spare BS-4 on hand can shorten service time because the dirty basket can be swapped out and cleaned away from the installed strainer. The BS-4 uses an improved handle design so the basket is easier to lift out when the strainer is opened for maintenance. Routine removal also gives the owner a chance to inspect the basket for distortion, damaged screening, or a handle that is beginning to loosen. Its open filtering surface is intended to collect debris while allowing water to continue through the strainer housing.

• Improved lift-handle design
• Made for repeated removal and cleaning
• 304 stainless steel construction
• Direct-service replacement BS-4 basket
• Fits listed GROCO strainers: ARG-1210 and SA-1000

Before fitting the BS-4, isolate the intake and clean the inside of the strainer so old debris is not trapped beneath the replacement basket. Set the basket fully into its intended position and confirm the cap or cover closes without forcing the handle or filter body. After the system is reopened, check normal water flow and inspect the strainer for leakage before leaving the compartment unattended.
