GROCO BP-3 2.6-Inch x 7.3-Inch Poly Strainer Basket

The GROCO BP-3 replacement strainer basket restores the removable filtering element inside a compatible marine strainer. It is a sensible service part when the original basket is damaged, heavily worn, or no longer cleans up well enough for dependable reuse. The basket is made from polyethylene, giving it the corrosion resistance needed for repeated wet service and cleaning. GROCO lists the BP-3 for ARG-1000, VD-1000, and 932-1000 strainer applications, so matching the existing strainer model before ordering is important.

Routine removal also gives the owner a chance to inspect the basket for distortion, damaged screening, or a handle that is beginning to loosen. The BP-3 uses an improved handle design so the basket is easier to lift out when the strainer is opened for maintenance. Keeping a clean spare BP-3 on hand can shorten service time because the dirty basket can be swapped out and cleaned away from the installed strainer. Its open filtering surface is intended to collect debris while allowing water to continue through the strainer housing.

• Polyethylene construction
• Improved lift-handle design
• Made for repeated removal and cleaning
• Direct-service replacement BP-3 basket
• Fits listed GROCO strainers: ARG-1000, VD-1000, and 932-1000

Before fitting the BP-3, isolate the intake and clean the inside of the strainer so old debris is not trapped beneath the replacement basket. Set the basket fully into its intended position and confirm the cap or cover closes without forcing the handle or filter body. After the system is reopened, check normal water flow and inspect the strainer for leakage before leaving the compartment unattended.
