Description

The ESEE Avispa has a 3.5-inch stonewashed D2 tool steel drop point blade with etching, a carbon fiber over G10 front handle with a stonewashed stainless back handle, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 5 inches on a frame lock.

This is the bare stonewashed version where the other Avispa runs a black EDP coating. Stonewash leaves the steel exposed but already textured, so scratches disappear into the finish rather than showing as breaks in a coating. On D2, which is only semi-stainless, that means the blade needs to be dried after it gets wet where a coated one would tolerate neglect.

Carbon fiber laid over G10 keeps the woven look on the show side while a solid G10 core does the structural work underneath. The stainless back handle is the lock slab, which is where the metal needs to be on a frame lock. Explore more Framelock Knives.
