The Civivi Praxis has a 3.75-inch black stonewashed 9Cr18MoV blade and a handle of shredded carbon fiber and golden shred set in clear resin, closing to 4.75 inches, with a zippered storage case.
The handle is the reason to choose this variant. Rather than woven carbon fiber sheet, offcuts are shredded and suspended in clear resin alongside gold-colored shred, so the material shows depth and catches light differently as the knife moves. No two handles come out with the same pattern. 9Cr18MoV is a Chinese stainless with high chromium, closer in composition to 440C than to the budget 8Cr13MoV, giving better corrosion resistance and edge retention while still sharpening back easily.
