Description
The ESEE Avispa has a 3.5-inch black EDP coated D2 tool steel drop point blade with etching, a carbon fiber over G10 front handle with a black stainless back handle, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 5 inches on a frame lock.
Carbon fiber laid over G10 is a cost-saving construction that keeps the woven look on the show side while a solid G10 core does the structural work underneath. The stainless back handle is the lock slab, which is where the metal needs to be on a frame lock, so the front can stay light.
EDP is an electro-deposited coating that bonds into the steel surface, giving better wear resistance than a sprayed finish. D2 holds a working edge far longer than budget stainless, and it needs to be dried after it gets wet. Explore more Framelock Knives.
