The Dolphin 12/36V 20A DC-DC Battery Converter charges a 36V bank from a 12V alternator, with a conformal-coated board.

Thirty-six volts is the trolling motor voltage, and this is what keeps that bank charged while running between spots. Without it, a 36V trolling bank only charges on shore power overnight. A day of fishing that starts with a partly charged bank ends early, and the engine's alternator sits there unused.

The 12V to 36V step is the largest in the Dolphin range, and 20 amps is what a 12V alternator can reasonably give up. Drawing more would load the engine's charging system beyond its design, so this tops up rather than fully recovering a flat bank.

Smart multi-stage charging supports lead-acid, Gel, AGM and lithium profiles rather than simple voltage conversion. Automatic protection covers source-battery drainage, over-current, over-voltage, reverse polarity and fuse faults, with conformal coating on the board for marine durability.
