Victron Orion XS 12/12 50-Amp DC-DC Battery Charger

The Victron Orion XS 12/12-50A is a DC-DC charger for dual 12V systems with marine VHF interference correction, in a fanless aluminum design.

The marine VHF interference correction is what distinguishes this version and it addresses a real problem. Switching DC-DC chargers generate electrical noise, and on the wrong frequencies that noise sits directly across the marine VHF band. A radio that hisses whenever the engine runs is usually a converter doing this.

Input and output currents are configurable, and engine-running detection prevents the charger drawing power when the engine is off. Adaptive charging profiles support both lithium and lead-acid, and multiple Orion XS units can be connected in parallel for more output.

The fanless aluminum circuit-board design is efficient and has nothing mechanical to fail or clog in an engine space.
