What sets the Plus version apart from the standard iAISTX is a built-in NMEA 2000 interface with an integral drop cable, so this transponder plugs straight into a modern plotter, instrument, or multi-function display setup instead of being limited to a wireless-only connection. It hosts its own secured, password-locked Wi-Fi hotspot to push AIS and GPS data out to whatever app the crew already relies on, from Navionics to iSailor, Weather4D, SailGrib, iNavX, or TimeZero, rendering nearby AIS traffic right on a phone or tablet screen in real time.

Important: As with all AIS transponders sold in the US, federal rules require this unit to be set up by a certified technician rather than the end user, and buyers need their MMSI registration or FCC Ship Station License plus a signed programming form ready before it can go live.
