The Digital Yacht iAISTX Class B Wireless AIS Transponder is purpose-built for boaters navigating with an iPad or Android tablet, broadcasting boat position and identity to other AIS-equipped vessels while streaming a wireless data feed to mobile navigation apps.

Its own locked-down Wi-Fi hotspot pushes AIS and GPS data straight out to a phone or tablet, feeding apps like Navionics, iSailor, Weather4D, SailGrib, iNavX, or TimeZero with a real-time picture of every nearby AIS target. Depending on the specific app, tapping a target can pull up identity details as well as collision-avoidance data like CPA, a useful layer of situational awareness beyond just seeing dots on a chart.

Important: This transponder falls under the same US federal requirement as other AIS units, a certified technician has to handle setup, and buyers should have their MMSI registration or FCC Ship Station License along with a signed programming form ready ahead of purchase.
