Description

The Digital Yacht AISnode NMEA 2000 Class B AIS Receiver was the first AIS receiver designed exclusively for NMEA 2000, and it shows in how simple installation actually is: a single integral 0.75m cable pulls power straight from the network and pushes AIS data right back onto it, no separate power wiring to run.

Installation comes down to finding or adding a spare NMEA 2000 T-piece, screwing the AISnode's cable into that connection, and hooking up a VHF antenna, a complete install in three steps. The receiver hardware itself is shared with Digital Yacht's newest Class B transponders, a genuine dual-channel design that catches every AIS-equipped boat in VHF reach without dropping a signal, and it decodes the full current message set, safety beacons, aids to navigation, and Class B static broadcasts among them, keeping it fully compatible with today's AIS-capable plotters.

  • Single integral 0.75m NMEA 2000 cable, powered by the network
  • True dual-channel receiver, won't drop targets
  • Decodes safety beacons, navigation aids, and Class B static broadcasts
  • Full compatibility with modern AIS-enabled chart plotters
