Digital Yacht AISnode NMEA 2000 Class B AIS Receiver

The Digital Yacht AISnode is an AIS receiver designed exclusively for NMEA 2000. A single integral 0.75 meter NMEA 2000 cable powers the unit and sends AIS data onto the network. Installing it is as simple as adding a spare T-piece, connecting the cable and attaching a VHF antenna.

It uses the same true dual-channel receiver as Digital Yacht's Class B transponders, so it picks up every AIS-equipped vessel in VHF range. All the latest NMEA 2000 AIS message types are supported, including AIS SARTs, AtoNs and Class B static data. That keeps it compatible with current AIS-enabled chart plotters.

It is a receiver only, so it shows other vessels but doesn't transmit your position. That makes it a lower-cost option than a transponder for smaller plotters.
