Description
The DeWalt HK41 Line Knife has a 3-inch black finish stainless hawkbill blade over a full extended tang at 8.5 inches overall, a black and yellow rubberized nylon handle, a lanyard hole and a black ABS belt sheath.
A line knife is a fixed hawkbill, and the shape works on the pull. Drawing it through rope, cord or insulation traps the material in the curve where the edge bites instead of letting it slide off. Building it as a fixed blade rather than a folder means there is no pivot to jam with grit and nothing to open one-handed when the other hand is holding a line.
The extended tang runs to the butt, so the pommel takes a strike without loading the handle. Rubberized nylon grips when wet, and yellow makes the knife findable on a site or in a truck bed where a dark handle disappears. Explore more Camp and Field Knives.
- Fixed hawkbill cuts rope and cord on the pull
- No pivot to jam with grit, unlike a folding hawkbill
- Full extended tang lets the pommel take a strike
- 3-inch blade, 8.5 inches overall, ABS belt sheath
