Description

The Cold Steel Kyoto II has a 3.38-inch 8Cr13MoV tanto blade in a black finish at 6.75 inches overall, an OD green Kray-Ex handle, a steel guard and lanyard hole, and a black Secure-Ex belt sheath.

OD green is the only one of the three Kyoto II handles that is not black, and it borrows a color from military kit rather than the tactical black that fills this category. Against a blackened blade the contrast is deliberate. It also makes the knife easier to find. A black handle set down on dark ground disappears; OD green at least reads as something manufactured.

The tanto puts a reinforced corner at the front for piercing, and the steel guard keeps the hand behind the edge under a thrust.
