Description

The CJRB Pyrite Light has a 3.38-inch black PVD coated AR-RPM9 stainless wharncliffe blade, a gray textured FRN handle, a thumb stud, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4.25 inches on a button lock.

Light is the distinction from the standard Pyrite. Swapping the steel or titanium handle for textured FRN takes a good deal of weight out, which is the difference between a knife you notice in a pocket and one you do not. A wharncliffe runs the spine straight to a point that meets a dead-straight edge, so the whole edge stays in contact with material and the tip goes exactly where it is put.

AR-RPM9 is Artisan's powder steel, pressed from steel powder rather than cast, which gives a finer grain that sharpens predictably.
