Description

The CJRB Bellona has a 3.63-inch AR-RPM9 tanto blade in black PVD against a green G10 handle, a sharper contrast than most tanto folders manage. It closes to 4.75 inches, with a crossbar lock, thumb pull, lanyard hole and pocket clip.

A crossbar lock is a spring-loaded bar that drops across the blade tang, pulled back from either side, so the knife works the same in either hand and closes without fingers crossing the blade path. PVD is a vapor-deposited coating bonded into the steel surface rather than painted on, so it resists wear far better than a surface finish.

AR-RPM9 is Artisan's powder steel, pressed from steel powder rather than cast, which gives a finer grain and more predictable sharpening. The tanto puts a reinforced corner at the front for piercing, at the cost of a sweeping slice. Explore more Folding Knives.
