Blue Sea 8261 Waterproof 8 Position Switch Panel

The Blue Sea Systems 8261 is a waterproof 8-position switch panel for 12V or 24V systems, with Contura switches, AGC/MDL fuse holders and a 90A cumulative rating.

This is built for flybridges, open cockpits and other above-deck positions where salt spray, rain and hose washdowns are normal rather than exceptional. A watertight mounting gasket seals the panel opening, which is the part most ordinary panels leave to the installer and sealant.

Fusing rather than breakers is the trade here. Eight panel-mount AGC/MDL fuse holders protect the circuits, so spares need to be carried aboard. The advantage is that a fuse holder seals more readily than a breaker mechanism, which matters in a position taking direct water.

Each circuit uses a Contura On/Off switch with an embedded On-indicator LED, and a 60-label set covers identifying the loads. Heavy aluminum with a two-part polyurethane finish and a Mil-Spec chemical treatment applied by immersion protects the exposed surfaces. Explore more marine switch panels.
