Description

The Blue Sea Systems 4308 is a WeatherDeck 8-position fuse panel in gray using ATO/ATC fuses, rated 15A per circuit and 100A cumulative.

The bicolored label LEDs are what earn this panel its keep. Red means the circuit is off, green means it is on, and no color at all means the fuse has blown. A dead circuit is diagnosed by looking at it rather than by pulling fuses one at a time, and if nothing lights anywhere the panel itself has lost power.

Fuses rather than breakers is the trade. ATO/ATC blades are cheap and available everywhere, but a blown one needs replacing rather than resetting, so spares belong aboard. The advantage is a sealed panel front, rated IP67 against immersion to one meter for 30 minutes when mounted with its watertight gasket.

Label backlighting runs on an independent circuit for remote switching and dimming, and the panel mounts in four orientations. It ships with eight 4150 SPST toggle switches, eight 4138 black switch boots, eight 5242 15 amp ATO/ATC fuses and the 4215 waterproof DC label kit with 30 labels. Explore more marine electrical panels.

  • Bicolored LEDs: red off, green on, dark means blown
  • Diagnose a dead circuit by looking at it
  • ATO/ATC fuses need spares aboard, not resetting
  • IP67 to one meter for 30 minutes
