Description

The Blue Sea Systems 8018 DC Analog Ammeter reads 0A to 150A on a 2-3/4 inch face, supplied with the required DC shunt.

One hundred and fifty amps suits larger charging and distribution circuits where a 50A meter would be pinned against its stop most of the time. An overranged meter tells you nothing except that the limit has been passed, so the range has to cover the highest current the circuit actually sees.

The shunt handles the high current while the instrument reads only the small measurement signal across it. That means the heavy battery or charging cable stays where it belongs rather than being routed to the meter face and back.

A simple two-wire connection handles the meter signal and power, keeping the installation straightforward. The backlit display coordinates with other illuminated panel gauges after dark, and the analog needle gives a quick visual sweep rather than a number to read. Explore more marine electrical meters.

  • 150A for larger charging and distribution circuits
  • A 50A meter would sit pinned at its stop
  • Shunt included, carrying the current itself
  • Heavy cable never reaches the meter face
