Blue Sea 7635 m-LVD Low Voltage Disconnect

The Blue Sea Systems 7635 m-LVD Low Voltage Disconnect monitors battery voltage and disconnects non-essential loads before the bank is flattened, rated IP67.

This is for a single-battery boat, where one bank does both starting and accessory duty and there is no reserve if it goes flat. The disconnect preserves enough energy to start the engine, which is the difference between an inconvenience and being stranded.

It warns before disconnecting through status lights on both the m-LVD and its remote switch, with an optional audible alarm. The remote also allows a ten-minute override, so a load that must stay on for a few more minutes can be held rather than the disconnect being defeated permanently.

The disconnect voltage is adjustable at the remote, and loads can be turned off manually until the battery recovers. The housing supports surface, front-panel or rear-panel mounting with a rear insulating cover over the main contacts, and IP67 construction handles temporary immersion.
