Description

The Blue Sea 7258 is a 100A double pole C-Series toggle circuit breaker in white, with a 5,000 ampere interrupt capacity.

Interrupt capacity is the number that matters on an AC main, and 5,000 amperes is what ABYC requires for 120/240 volt 50 amp main protection. It is the fault current the breaker can safely break, not its normal working load. A breaker without that rating can weld itself closed under a short circuit, which is the failure mode the standard exists to prevent.

Used double pole this switches hot to neutral as a 120 volt AC main. Three-pole versions of the same series switch both lines and neutral for 240 volt. At 100A this sits above the 50A version for boats with a larger shore service or a bigger inverter feeding the panel. Explore more marine circuit breakers.

  • 100A with 5,000A interrupt capacity
  • Meets ABYC for 120/240V main protection
  • Switches hot to neutral as a 120V AC main
  • The larger of the two common main breakers
