Description

The Blue Sea Systems 7290 is a 100A C-Series triple pole toggle breaker in white, with 5,000 ampere interrupt capacity.

One hundred amps suits a larger vessel or a shore connection sized above the usual 50A service, which is uncommon on recreational boats. Before ordering this over the 50A version, the inlet and the dock service both need to actually support it, or the extra capacity does nothing.

Used as a 240 volt AC main, the three poles switch the lines and the neutral together. Any one pole tripping opens all three, so the circuit is fully isolated rather than partly so, which is what makes a multi-pole breaker safe to work behind.

Interrupt capacity of 5,000 amperes meets ABYC requirements for 120/240 volt main protection. The trip free design cannot be held on while fault current is flowing. Explore more marine circuit breakers.

  • 100A, above the usual 50A shore service
  • The inlet and dock both need to support it
  • Any one pole tripping opens all three
  • 5,000A interrupt, trip free
