Description
The Blue Sea Systems 5502100 Class T Fuse Block takes 225A to 400A Class T fuses on four studs, supporting cable up to 4/0 AWG.
Class T is chosen for its exceptionally high interrupt capacity and fast action, which matters close to a large battery bank. A short circuit at the bank can release tens of thousands of amps. An ordinary fuse can rupture without clearing the fault, leaving an arc rather than an open circuit.
That speed also protects inverters, chargers and other sensitive electronics, and installations specify Class T rather than whatever fits for that reason. The four-stud design leaves room around the terminals so large lugs fit without interfering with the fuse itself.
Tin-plated copper fuse-mounting blocks give high conductivity, with stainless studs and one-piece flange nuts that hold high-torque connections without corroding. The high-temperature UL 94-V0 base withstands the heat these applications generate, and an insulating cover with multi-direction breakouts satisfies ABYC and USCG requirements. Ignition protected. Explore more bus bars and power distribution.
