Blue Sea 3135 SMS Panel Enclosure for DC Circuits

The Blue Sea Systems 3135 is the DC member of the SMS enclosure family, with a UL 489 DC main and three 12/24V branch positions at 15A.

Amber ON indicating LEDs are used here rather than the green and red of the AC enclosures, and that is a deliberate distinction. On a boat carrying both AC and DC SMS boxes, the LED color alone identifies which system is being looked at before anything is touched.

Six amber LEDs are fitted for 12/24V DC, and blank apertures take Carling Technologies A and C Series flat rocker and ELCI main breakers to load the enclosure out as needed. That flexibility means the same box handles a small DC distribution point or a larger one as circuits are added.

The base is glass filled polycarbonate with a clear overlapping cover on an oversized polyurethane gasket formed in place. The stainless hinge pin comes out so the cover lifts away during installation, and the latch holds it closed without a fastener through the wall.
