Blue Sea 3123 SMS Panel Enclosure with ELCI and Blanks

The Blue Sea Systems 3123 is the 230V SMS enclosure with a 32A ELCI main and three blank positions.

Two hundred and thirty volts is the specification that decides this one. It is for boats wired to European shore standards rather than North American 120V service. The 32A main is sized to a typical European pedestal, and it satisfies ABYC E-11 as long as it goes within 10 feet of the AC inlet.

The three blanks are the reason to choose this over a sealed unit. They take Carling Technologies A and C Series flat rocker breakers. A water heater circuit, a charger or an air conditioning feed can be added later without a second box appearing on the bulkhead beside the first.

The housing is glass filled polycarbonate with a clear overlapping cover on an oversized polyurethane gasket formed in place rather than cut and joined. The stainless hinge pin lifts out so the cover comes away entirely during installation, and one red reverse polarity plus three green ON LEDs are fitted for 230V AC.
