Blue Sea 3121 SMS Panel Enclosure with ELCI and Blanks

The Blue Sea Systems 3121 SMS enclosure has a 16A ELCI main and three blank positions on 230V AC.

Sixteen amps is the smallest main in the 230V SMS range, and on a smaller boat or a berth with modest shore service it is the honest size rather than a compromise. Fitting a larger main than the supply supports gains nothing, since the pedestal breaker trips first either way.

Three blank positions take Carling Technologies A and C Series flat rocker breakers, so branch circuits go in as loads are added rather than committing to a full layout on day one. One red reverse polarity LED and three green ON LEDs are installed for 230V AC, with label positions backlit from the factory.

The build matches the rest of the SMS line: glass filled polycarbonate base, clear overlapping cover, and an oversized polyurethane gasket formed in place for a continuous seal rather than a joined one. The stainless hinge pin comes out for easier fitting and the latch secures the cover without penetrating the enclosure. Five glands, labels, hardware and the manual are included.
