Description
The BEP Marine 701-MDVS is a 275A motorized voltage-sensitive battery switch for 12V systems, with a remote emergency parallel function.
This is the standard version of the 701, with conventional terminals rather than the Deutsch connector on the 701-MDVS-D. For a switch mounted somewhere dry and unlikely to be disconnected, the standard terminals do the same job for less.
It senses voltage on either bank and combines them when an alternator or charger is present, then isolates them when charging stops so the starting bank stays protected. That automatic behavior is what removes the manual switching a selector switch demands, and the forgetting that goes with it.
A dash-mounted momentary switch parallels the banks for ten minutes for starting assistance, then holds only if voltage supports normal operation and otherwise disconnects. Tinned copper conductors, stainless nuts and high-temperature fiber-reinforced plastics handle marine service, with ignition protection, low standby draw and a manual override. Explore more battery switches.
- The standard 701, with conventional terminals
- Cheaper than the Deutsch version where conditions are dry
- Combines and isolates automatically as charging comes and goes
- 275A with a ten-minute emergency parallel
