Barton Marine Silver/White 25-30 ft Boat Boomstrut

Sailors on 25 to 30 ft boats can use this Barton Marine Silver/White Boomstrut, part 44030, to support a boom weighing up to 33 lb (15 kg) at the tip. It replaces the job of a topping lift for everyday sailing by pushing the boom up whenever kicker tension comes off. Silver anodized fittings and white rods suit boats with light-colored spars and deck hardware.

Overall length is 1180 mm (46.5 in) pin to pin, and the complete strut weighs about 3.8 lb. Under load, the twin fiberglass rods flex through as much as 300 mm (11.8 in) of travel, and the fittings give 150 mm (5.9 in) of adjustment so you can set the resting height of the boom. There are no sliding tubes or internal springs, so nothing wears, sticks or needs grease.

Fit the mast end into the luff groove where your spar has one, and the boom end clamps to round or flat sections without special adapters. The strut works alongside a rope vang or kicker you already have instead of replacing it. Pair it with a new vang purchase or blocks from our sailing hardware if your current tackle is worn.
