The Balmar AltMount Serpentine Pulley Conversion Kit suits Yanmar 4JH2-TE, 4JH2-HTE, 4JH2-DTE and 4JH2-UTE engines.

Four variants of the 4JH2 are covered by this kit, which is worth noting because Yanmar's 4JH range spans several generations. The 4JH4 series has its own conversion kit, and a 4JH3 is different again. Reading the full designation off the engine plate rather than the series alone is what gets the right part.

As charging output increases the belt system has to transmit more horsepower from the engine to the alternator. A ten-rib serpentine drive gives greater pulley contact than a single-V belt, which is what allows that transfer without slip.

The conversion covers the engine's drive components as a matched set rather than the alternator pulley alone. Mixing serpentine and V-belt pulleys across one drive is not possible, so the whole set changes together. Explore more alternator mounts and pulleys.
