Description

The Ancor 4 AWG Heavy-Duty Lugs are a 100-pack in annealed tinned copper with a seamless barrel, for 1/4-inch studs.

A quarter-inch stud is the smallest of the three sizes stocked in 4 AWG, alongside 5/16 and 3/8. It turns up on smaller fuse blocks, terminal studs and some equipment connections. Three sizes in one gauge is a good reason to measure rather than order from memory.

Getting it wrong in either direction causes problems: too small will not fit the stud, too large leaves the lug bearing on a washer rather than seated flat. A lug that is not flat against its landing loosens with vibration, and a loose high-current joint heats.

Heavy-duty annealed tinned copper supports strong current flow while resisting corrosion from salt and moisture. The seamless barrel gives strength after crimping, and the closed end reduces moisture ingress into the joint. Explore more battery lugs and ring terminals.

  • 1/4 inch, smallest of three stud sizes in 4 AWG
  • Also stocked in 5/16 and 3/8
  • Three sizes in one gauge: measure, do not guess
  • A lug not seated flat loosens and heats
