ACR OLAS Float-On Smart Crew Overboard Light

The ACR OLAS Float-On is a compact, "Smart" crew overboard system, a buoyant water activated strobe and LED flashlight in one device. The strobe automatically activates in the water when its integrated water sensors detect 6 seconds of water contact, with the high-power strobe flashing once every second for up to 20 hours and visible up to 3 nautical miles away.

When used with the ACR OLAS mobile app and the system detects a break in its "virtual tether" to the Float-On, an audible alarm sounds within 8 seconds of a transmitter going missing. The connected phone or tablet then sounds an alarm and records the latitude and longitude of the incident using its GPS, directing the crew to the GPS location where the man overboard occurred with clear visual signals and bearing data. Users can track up to 6 different OLAS Transmitters with one phone or tablet, and each individual transmitter can be tracked by an unlimited number of devices; adding an OLAS CORE Base Station or OLAS GUARDIAN System scales the setup to monitor up to 15 transmitters.
