Xantrex XPower 3000 GFCI Remote Inverter UL458

The Xantrex XPower 3000 is a 12V inverter with two GFCI receptacles, heavy-duty stud terminals and a remote On/Off switch, meeting UL458 and CSA.

Three thousand watts from 12 volts is around 300 amps of DC current at full output, and that dictates the whole installation. Heavy-duty stud terminals are supplied because nothing smaller would carry it. Cable, fusing and connection quality all become critical rather than merely important at that current.

The remote On/Off switch is included rather than optional, which matters because an inverter this size mounts wherever the heavy cable run is shortest. That location is rarely accessible, and without a remote the inverter gets left on.
