The Viega MegaPress 316 Street Elbow turns 1/2 inch pipe through 90 degrees, with one press end and one spigot end.
At half inch a street elbow is doing its most useful work, since fixture connections are where space is tightest and a standard elbow needs a pipe stub the space does not allow. The spigot end goes straight into a valve, an adapter or another fitting with nothing between them.
