The Viega MegaPress 316 0.75x0.5-Inch FKM MPT Adapter presses onto 3/4 inch pipe and provides a 1/2 inch male pipe thread, so it reduces and converts to thread in one fitting.
Male thread screws into a female port. Because the sizes differ across this adapter, it saves a separate reducer where the threaded equipment is a size below the run. It is a press connection, made with a pressing tool rather than threading or brazing, so there is no open flame and no cutting threads in place. Suits Schedule 5 through Schedule 40 stainless pipe.
