Victron VE.Bus Smart Dongle for Bluetooth Monitoring

The Victron VE.Bus Smart Dongle adds Bluetooth monitoring and control to VE.Bus inverter chargers, with voltage and temperature sensing.

The temperature sensing is the part easily overlooked, and it improves charging rather than just reporting. Correct charging voltage changes with battery temperature, and a system without a sensor charges to the same voltage whether the bank is at five degrees or thirty-five. Neither is right for the other.

Voltage sensing at the battery corrects for the drop along the charging cable. Without it the inverter charger regulates to its own output terminals, and a bank at the end of a long run charges to less than intended.

Bluetooth allows status monitoring, AC input current limit adjustment and switching between Off, On and Charger Only through VictronConnect.
