Victron Skylla-TG 24V 30A GMDSS Charger

The Victron Skylla-TG 24/30 GMDSS is a 30A 24V charger and power supply for Global Maritime Distress and Safety System installations.

GMDSS is the international distress and safety radio system, and its power supply is subject to survey rather than left to the installer's judgment. A standard charger would need additional monitoring equipment bolted alongside to satisfy that. This one supplies the charging, status and alarm information the system requires as built.

That makes it a compliance purchase rather than a performance one. For a vessel carrying GMDSS equipment under survey, a general-purpose charger will not pass. For any other application the standard Skylla or Centaur models cover the same charging job for less.
