The Victron Skylla-IP65 12V 70A is a seven-stage adaptive three-bank charger accepting 120-240V AC, rated IP65.

Three banks rather than the 1+1 arrangement is the difference, and it changes what the charger suits. The 1+1 dedicates 3 amps to a starter battery and the rest to one house bank. This version divides 70 amps across three genuine charging outputs, for a boat with three banks that all get used.

That fits a vessel with separate house, electronics and thruster or windlass banks rather than one large service bank and an engine starter. Choosing between them follows how the boat's batteries are actually arranged rather than the amperage, which is identical.

Seven adaptive stages manage recovery and maintenance automatically across a wide chemistry range, including a dedicated lithium-ion program.
