Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000 120-50 Inverter Charger

The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000 120-50 is a UL-approved inverter charger for 12V systems, with a 120A charger and 50A transfer switch.

This is the single-output MultiPlus-II, against the 2x120V version that supplies split-phase. Both are UL approved and otherwise closely matched, so the question is whether the boat has any 240V loads. If not, this is the simpler and more appropriate choice.

The 120A adaptive charger suits a substantial 12V house bank that needs returning overnight rather than over a weekend. PowerAssist prevents a limited external AC source being overloaded, first reducing charging demand and then supplementing shore or generator power from the batteries.
